Lactose-free proteins and amino acids
Do you frequently suffer gastrointestinal problems after consuming dairy products? You may then be suffering from lactose intolerance. Lactose intolerance affects approximately 10 % of the population in Germany. As many as 90 % have this condition in China or Africa. People suffering from lactose intolerance produce no or insufficient lactase – an enzyme split from milk sugar. Lactose therefore remains in the intestine and is a good source of nutrition for bacteria. This leads to the production of gases and acids that may provoke severe discomfort such as stomach ache, diarrhoea and flatulence.
